Cape Town
Honeymoon - Day 17 to Day 21
Cape Town was the only city in Africa that I'd heard of prior to the research and planning for our honeymoon. 😅
It turns out to be a beautiful city and I love every bit of it. During our time in this stunning city, I asked Mr. B if he would consider living here. Well his answer was what I had in my mind - it's one of the most beautiful cities we've visited and the stuff here is less expensive than Singapore, but safety is an issue and it's just too far away from home.
We enjoyed our time in Cape Town and have done most of the must-see things.
1. Take cable car up to the Table Mountain
2. Drive to Signal Hill
3. Drive along the coast from the foot of Table Mountain and through scenic Chapman's Peak Drive
4. Take a ferry and visit Robben Island
5. Visit Cape of Good Hope
6. Cape Point
7. Boulders Beach Penguin Colony
8. Victoria & Alfred Waterfront
Of all the food we had in Cape Town, we liked Ocean Basket best (Victoria & Alfred Waterfront branch)! We had oysters, grilled shrimps, a starter platter and some sushi. The sushi was ok but the rest was fantastic! Plus, it only cost like $35!!
Apart from Ocean Basket, we also liked Nando's a lot. Unlike the Nando's in Singapore, the Nando's here operates like fast food. We had to order at the counter and it's self service. However, the quality of the food is the same (if not better), and it's much much cheaper!!
For accommodation, we stayed at the Taj Cape Town - one of the luxurious accommodations during our honeymoon. ☺️
Despite some safety issues (like us being followed on the street when it's getting dark), our time in Cape Town has been special and memorable. It also adds a different type of experience to our honeymoon.
