Renaissance hotel Bangkok
When Simona and I went to Bangkok together for the first time, about 5 1/2 years ago, we staid at the Renaissance. So we thought for this wedding anniversary trip, it would be a good idea to come back to the same hotel. Especially since we both really liked it.
A video summary of our stay at the hotel :
Location & surroundings
The hotel is located very central and in walking distance to Bangkok’s main Shopping Malls (Central, Platinum, SIAM Centre and Paragon).
The Chit Lom train station is only about 100 meters from the hotel but you can even walk to the next interchange station (Siam) in about 10 minutes.
Entrance & Lobby
Sheltered taxi drop off area.
Lobby with a nice seating area.
Entrance to the R bar.
Room
We were lucky to be upgraded to a Studio Suite which offers plenty of space for Olivia to run around and explore things.
The suite is designed in a modern style, using lots of wood, marble and stainless steel. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom through a giant window instead of a wall which gives the suite an even more spacious feel.
The most important area is of cause the Bedroom. Look at this giant and super comfy bed below. We were absolutely happy with what was offered.
King sized bed with the bathroom next to it. You can lower a blind from the inside of the bathroom for privacy.
Beautiful view from the bed.
The room has windows behind the bed and on the right side, letting in a lot of light.
Work are with a desk and conference chair.
Sofa and decorations.
Bathroom
Very spacious bathroom with separate bathtub and shower.
Bathtub with a view. Olivia enjoyed it a lot.
The view from the bedroom into the bathroom.

The soap, shampoo and conditioner provided by the hotel are by TOKYOMILK and they smell absolutely gorgeous.
Entrance to the room, mini bar and wardrobe.
Some snacks.
Executive Lounge
I always love to have lounge access because I love coffee and I feel happy knowing that I can quickly get a cup of really good coffe at any time. Apart from coffee and other refreshments around the clock, the lounge also offers breakfast, high tea, an open bar and canapés (see details below).
The executive lounge is based on level 21. We were lucky enough to have access and went there a couple of times to get refreshments.
