X100F a love story

X100F a love story

When I first saw the original X100, I was smitten. However, I heard that there were issues - particularly with the auto-focus. When Fuji released an improved version, the X100S, I thought this is it. I bought it and used it for a while but unfortunately the auto-focus was still a show stopper for me. Too many pictures were out of focus so I sold it. A few years later, the X100F was released and I heard it finally had good auto-focus and I really wanted those film simulations back. I had been shooting with the Sony A7 (mark I) for a few years and the colors out of that camera are ridiculously bad at times (especially with artificial light).

I bought the X100F just in time to capture my wife's pregnancy, our daughter's birth and her growing up.

There is something magic about the Fujifilm cameras. The way they handle, the way the pictures look straight out of the camera, the size, the colors, the look of the camera ...the whole package. It just makes you want to shoot and shoot and shoot. And I think this is the number one reason to get a Fujifilm camera. They bring back the fun and they are small enough to always bring along with you. If you are thinking about getting one, do it!
